DAS Audio expands the ARA Series with New Point Source Systems and Stage Monitors

DAS Audio has officially launched the new point source systems ARA-P12.115 and ARA-P28.115, expanding its acclaimed ARA series. These new models, which offer 100 x 50-degree coverage, complement the earlier releases of this year, which included the ARA-P12.74, ARA-P28.74, and the ARA-M210 stage monitor.

The ARA series is one of the most technologically advanced series on the market, noted for its technology and tonal consistency. All models in the ARA series share technical features that ensure exceptional and consistent performance. These systems are equipped with the same 3″ M78N compression driver and a powerful DSP that operates at a 96 kHz sampling frequency. The integration of the same compression driver in all models guarantees that all systems in the ARA series have tonal consistency, regardless of size or configuration.

The ARA-P28 is a self-powered point-source system that combines technical innovation with acoustic precision. With a 2 x 8” configuration and a 3” compression driver, this model offers a wide frequency range from 70 Hz to 17 kHz. The waveguide of the ARA-P28.74 provides 70º by 40º coverage, while the ARA-P28.115 offers 100º by 50º coverage, both through a rotatable horn. This system reaches a maximum SPL of 140 dB, ensuring powerful performance in any environment.

The ARA-P12 is another self-powered point-source system from the ARA series. Equipped with a 12” speaker and the same 3” compression driver, this model offers a frequency range of 63 Hz to 17 kHz. The ARA-P12.74’s waveguide provides a coverage of 70º by 40º, while the ARA-P12.115 offers a coverage of 100º by 50º, both through a rotatable diffuser. This system provides a maximum SPL of 140 dB.

The ARA-M210 is a self-powered stage monitor with a symmetric configuration of components: 2 x 10” drivers and a 3” compression driver. The innovative waveguide design provides a horizontal dispersion of 50º and an asymmetric vertical dispersion of 40º downwards and 30º upwards. This monitor operates in a frequency range of 55 Hz to 20 kHz and features a Class D amplifier capable of delivering 1200 W continuously and 2400 W peak, ensuring a maximum SPL of 143 dB.

The electronic architecture of all ARA series systems incorporates a powerful DSP operating at a sampling frequency of 96 kHz, featuring advanced digital signal processing and FIR filters for linear magnitude and phase response. Sound control and management are carried out through the ALMA software interface, enabling precise adjustments to suit any technical requirement. The robust construction and advanced technology of ARA series systems make them a comprehensive and optimal sound solution in any environment.

In summary, the ARA series reflects DAS Audio’s commitment to technical excellence, providing exceptional tonal consistency through the integration of the same compression driver and DSP across all models. Furthermore, the versatility of the point-source systems allows for their use as front-fill in concerts, as PA in smaller events alongside a subwoofer, or in fixed installations, offering an efficient and powerful solution for any acoustic requirement.
